2 Tbsp olive oil
2 Tbsp flour
1 Tbsp chili powder
1/2-1 canned chipotle chili (packed in adobo), rinsed and minced
1/2tsp cumin
1/4tsp garlic powder
1/4tsp onion powder
1 tsp salt
1 (8oz) can tomato sauce
2 cups water
Heat oil in a large saucepan over medium heat. Add flour and chili powder. Cook 2-3 minutes, stirring often.
Add remaining ingredients and stir to combine.
Bring sauce to a boil and reduce to a simmer. Simmer about 10 minutes.
Makes about 2 1/2 cups sauce.
